Happiness is an Emotion.

Human needs are unending. 

if a shopping list is written today,
Tomorrow, there will be a different list.
However, in that space of time where your needs have been met,
And right before you realize you want something else, there is a feeling of utter satisfaction.
I believe it is almost impossible to think any person can be satisfied.

In terms of happiness,
Satisfaction may last for a longer period,
But it also has a limited lifespan.

I cannot say how long I have been in a really happy place in life,
With no interruptions whatsoever, but I know it feels good.

Happiness is an emotion.
You do not feel the impact of bad words when you are happy.
You do not sense any form of hate towards you when you are happy,
No matter how glaring it might be.
Happiness makes you a better person.
A person everyone loves and wants to spend time with,
Probably in the hope that some of it would rub off. Eventually.
Happiness makes you glow even when the weather
(or even your skin) wants to prove otherwise.
Happiness is smiling when you know you have a long day ahead of you,
Happiness brings hope
Sometimes, Happiness makes you cry.
Happiness makes you feel like...
Everything will be fine even when all looks dull.
Happiness brings faith.

Happiness changes people.
Satisfaction changes people,
Emotions change people.

A life without emotion, is a life without change.
Change may occur without impact on one's emotions,
But emotions cannot be without change.

AIR CONDITIONER

I remember the first time I consciously sat in an air conditioned area.

It was about 1995, in Daddy’s Honda “Baby Boy”.

It was unbelievable!

That scent which comes out of it...

And then the cool air...

I remember that delicious feel of my skin...

Like velvet. Or was it silk?

Just so smooth...as though there was no scar on my skin,

No cuts, no bruises.

Nothing.

Downside to it?

That night, on my way home, i dozed off.

The next morning?

My dad was very upset with me! Why?

I pee-d in the front seat!

And even worse, the smell just wouldn’t come out.

Ah! The wonders of the air conditioner!

Brain Wise?

You’re better looking than he ever can be,

More members of the opposite sex want you,

Even members of the same sex, want you.

Emotionally?

You’re better than him,

You’re more committed than he is.

You’re more committed to both your emotions than he can be.
